
SYSTEM AV 700
This system developed by AV ENGINEERING ensures the minimum energy
consumption, by reducing the quantity of evaporated moist air to
be exhausted.
Systems and related constructions do not ask for rebuild of machine
sections. The AV 700 pocket ventilation, system can adapt to any
existing configuration.
The equipment captures the exhaust moist air and transfer it over
the width of machine from pockets to the extraction channel.
This controlled air flow leads also to a reduced energy to drive
the machine.
The main purpose of the system is:
Increased machine production capacity, for all paper qualities.
This system gives the possibility of conditioning in a new manner
the evaporation area and also to lower the wet point temperature
inside the pocket, which allows to increase the dry air temperature
after extracting the moist air.
This evacuation and transfer of moist air also ensures the effect
of air penetration of drying screens from inside to outside, with
cleaning effect, for improved permeability and extended life time.

This effect of air flow inside the 'mini-hood' of the pocket
is due to a small thermocompressor unit placed at one end of
the pocket.
By this effect, the temperature in drive area is reducing, ensuring
a better operating conditions for the bearings and guides of
felt dryers.
The most visible advantage is due to cross profile optimization
of the moist air inside the pocket, for a more even paper moisture
profile. This become possible by controlled air exhaustion.
Consequently, the
increased production and reduced energy consumption
are accomplished by:
Reducing the wet point temperature inside the pocket.
Ensuring the even cross-profile inside the pocket.
Forced ventilation of the paper surface at high temperature.
Forced removal of the exhaust air generated inside the pocket.
Increased drying capacity, due to self-cleaning of felt screen
by air flow from inside to outside the pocket
